Elevator, the soon to be released, spoken word poetics debut of Mr. Wyatt is equal parts confessional and socio-political manifesto. Says Wyatt "my album is about revealing myself; giving the audience who I am, where I've been and what I see. It's about recognizing struggle, doubts and evils, but fighting back and emerging transformed."
Musically, the album is a daring, genre bending and blending mix of punk, jazz fusion, hip-hop, gospel and blues drenched R&B. Elevator, Executive Produced by Mr. Wyatt, is Associate-Produced by Nan Corvington. Shay K.
Vanhorn of the alternative rock outfit, 'Down From Hollow' makes an emphatic guest appearance on guitar. Guest producers Seismic and Black G. of 'Real Smoke" added work on the project.
"I wanted the poetics and the music to be organic and I know we were able to accomplish that task. I want the listeners ear constantly picking up on new sounds, be it the words or the musicianship."
Elevator will be released through Mr. Wyatt's, Superville Recording Concern (SRC) this
Winter.
